Off site shredding is simply the operation of picking up your files and delivering them to a shredding plant for destruction. The process is compliant with all current federal and Florida privacy laws, including HIPAA and FACTA. Off site shredding is popular because it is generally cheaper to shred at a Florida facility. It has a high level of security since only authorized employees are allowed to come in contact with the paper or even be at the plant.

Uniformed security drivers transport your files with a locked truck, guarding them until they arrive at a locked shredding facility. Upon the delivery of the materials for destruction, the containers are inventoried. Once inventoried, the materials are staged to begin the shredding process.

The material is fed directly into the industrial shredder—processing over 20,000 lbs an hour. A certificate of destruction is created, with the total weight, verifying that the materials were shredded.

Once papers are shredded they are compacted and shipped directly to a paper company, where the material is pulped to make new paper.
